Abstract Aerodynamic heating and temperature distribution are one of the problems that must be considered in design hypersonic rocket sled. In order to evaluate aerodynamic environment sled, typical monorail sled with cone cylinder combination is taken as research object, calculation methods such Modified Newton Theory, Reynolds Analogy Reference Enthalpy Method Fourier’s Law Heat Conduction used, variation law conical surface under Mach 5 7 ballistic calculated compared measured data literature verify accuracy program. The engineering method can provide a reliable basis for structure thermal protection configuration. analysis results shows when speed exceeds 5, serious problem cannot ignored, protective measures materials helium channel should taken.
